About black obsidian
Obsidian is natural volcanic glass that forms when lava cools so quickly that crystals cannot grow. Its sharp edges made it one of humanity's first tools, and polished obsidian mirrors were prized in ancient Mexico. In crystal practice it is a grounding, protective stone.
How to use it
Place a piece by your front door or hold one when you need to feel grounded. Many people keep obsidian near screens and electronics.
Care & cleansing
Water-safe for brief rinsing. Raw obsidian can have very sharp edges, so handle with care.
